Reconstruction of Socorro High School

Socorro ISD is known for high academic achievement, but many of our high school learning
environments are unable to support modern teaching and learning. Socorro High School is over 50
years old and was originally designed as a middle school. SISD schools are at 104% classroom capacity districtwide. With consistent growth, SISD schools will be at 112% capacity by 2027.

To provide a total reconstruction of Socorro High School to include the incorporation of its existing facilities (auditorium, gym, fine arts) into a new safe and supportive learning environment.

Purchase of adjacent property to accommodate construction and to provide additional ingress and egress to campus.

The re-construction will include all programs comparable to our newest high school to incorporate 21st Century Learning and Collaborative Environments.
